The PP defends its position on the Government's plan to transfer the 500 migrant girls: "The most important thing is to defend the best interest of the child"

Due to the entire migratory situation that has occurred in Ceuta in recent weeks, and especially in recent days with the entire situation of migrant minors in the autonomous city, the Popular Party has come out to speak on this issue and how the current Government is managing it.

After being questioned about a possible refusal by the autonomous communities governed by the PP to host unaccompanied migrant minors remaining in Ceuta, the deputy secretary of Health and Social Policy of the PP, Carmen Fúnez, has come out to defend her party: "But if it is that here the one who has to fear the Prosecutor's Office is the Government itself because, as I told you before, they have been here for 20 days. We have been three weeks with these minors and with the rest of the people who entered our country irregularly on July 30 and 31 in Ceuta and, as far as we know, we still do not know if the Government is complying with the law."

In addition to these statements, along the same lines, the Popular Party also believes that the Government should begin to analyze one by one the files of the people who entered Ceuta irregularly. And in relation to minors, they also believe that their filiation, their age determination, and contact with the social services of their country of origin should be known, because, "the most important thing is, without any doubt, to defend the best interest of the minor," assures the deputy secretary.

For the popular party, the best interest of the minor, "is defended by making that minor return to their family. That is what we are defending and that is what we are going to continue doing in the coming weeks," she exclaimed. In the same way, she also remembered the Minister of Youth and Childhood, Sira Rego, and the Secretary of State for Youth and Childhood, Rubén Pérez, reproaching them that they have to, "stop twisting the language and generating hoaxes in those places and in those areas where there is total clarity." She also wanted to emphasize the plan to transfer 500 migrant girls from Ceuta to the Peninsula, stating that they have not received any information about said plan.

To finish defending himself, he commented that "nobody has spoken of deportations," but "of compliance with the law," and that it should be the Ministry of Youth and Childhood that should respond as to whether it is complying. They have also reported not knowing the exact data on migrant minors, "not all the minors in Ceuta have been identified yet. We still don't know if the age determination processes have been put in place." Finally, he did not want to forget the words Albares said days ago: "It was Minister Albares who said that all people who had entered Ceuta illegally would return to their country. And that is what we are saying and that is what we ask, that the law be complied with."

Juanma Moreno visits Ceuta

The president of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno, will travel this Thursday to Ceuta to meet with the president of the autonomous city, Juan Jesús Vivas, three weeks after the massive entry of people into the territory through the Moroccan border. Likewise, Moreno will meet with representatives of the Confederation of Entrepreneurs and the Chamber of Commerce of Ceuta. The Junta de Andalucía has called the media this Thursday on the occasion of an institutional visit to Ceuta.
