The PP increases pressure on the Sánchez Government and reiterates the resignation of the director of the Civil Guard: "Enough with corruption"

The Deputy Secretary of Education and Equality of the Popular Party, Jaime de los Santos, has intensified his offensive against the Government of Pedro Sánchez by demanding the resignation of the Director General of the Civil Guard, Mercedes González, for her alleged role in the so-called "sewers of the PSOE". The 'popular' leader considers her continued leadership of the armed institute to be "unforgivable and repugnant" and maintains that she should apologize and leave office.

De los Santos denounces the attempt to "dynamite" the celebrations of Dos de Mayo in the Community of Madrid for political reasons. In his opinion, these actions respond to the fact that Isabel Díaz Ayuso governs the region with an absolute majority and has become one of the main figures of the opposition to the central Executive.

The PP leader states that Spain is going through one of the most serious stages in its recent democratic history and assures that Sánchez's Executive is "devastated by corruption in every sense". In this context, he attacks several socialist leaders and links different judicial cases with the political environment of the President of the Government.

De los Santos also defends the actions of judges and courts against criticism from the Executive and demands that the Minister of Justice, Félix Bolaños, respect judicial independence. He maintains that magistrates are fulfilling their obligation to enforce the law and guarantee the functioning of the rule of law.

The popular leader also takes the opportunity to call for early elections. In his opinion, the time has come for citizens to return to the polls and decide the political future of the country. In this regard, he advocates that Alberto Núñez Feijóo lead a new political stage focused on institutional recovery, respect for Justice, and the management of public affairs.

"Enough of corruption and enough of trying to dynamite coexistence," concludes De los Santos, who accuses the PSOE of fostering division among Spaniards and of prioritizing its political interests over those of the citizenry as a whole.
