The PSOE spokesperson in Congress, Patxi López, and the Minister for Digital Transformation and Public Function, Óscar López, have criticized the judicial system in relation to the cases being investigated that affect the socialist party. The criticisms of justice come after the State Attorney General's Office informed the National Court judge investigating the case of former socialist militant Leire Díez that Diego Villafañe, former deputy prosecutor of the FGE Technical Secretariat, met twice with Díez and with Jacobo Teijelo, lawyer for former socialist leader Santos Cerdán.

In this regard, the PSOE spokesperson, when asked about this matter, emphasized that all facts must be investigated so that evidence can be presented to determine what happened. However, minutes earlier, he criticized judges, accusing them of having opened judicial cases against the PSOE and the Government based on "press clippings" and stated that there are "different speeds" according to "certain judicial processes" as well as "incomprehensible" sentences.

Along the same lines, Minister Óscar López spoke yesterday at an event held on Wednesday by the newspaper 'Público' where former State Attorney General Álvaro García Ortiz was awarded the Person of the Year Award. In his speech, he accused that "there are judges who prevaricate." López clarified about the Supreme Court magistrates: "There are judges who prevaricate, not all of them." Furthermore, in relation to Ortiz's conviction, he added: "If it's not them, it's someone in their circle."

He also wanted to defend the separation of powers, asserting that "the Government governs, Parliament legislates, and Justice does justice" and that the press "controls" power. Regarding the judicial cases affecting the PSOE, he stated that the Government presided over by Pedro Sánchez "always acts against corruption." Finally, he concluded: "We will not stop being overwhelmed, nor will we stop being run over by those who are trying to mix everything to generate a confusion that is not appropriate."

On the other hand, another socialist personality, who on numerous occasions has expressed his opinion on the Judiciary, the Minister of Transport, Óscar Puente, has reacted to the recent news that a judge has given the green light, after several months, for the Central Operative Unit of the Civil Guard (UCO) to investigate the bank accounts of the partner of the president of the Community of Madrid, Alberto González Amador. In this context, through a publication on his X account, he ironized with Luis Fonsi's song, writing: "Despaaacito"
