The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, has carried out this Wednesday his appearance to defend before Congress his refusal towards the war in Iran and to explain the anti-crisis plan -approved last Friday- which contains 80 measures and which will amount to 5,000 million euros to solve the economic and social consequences of the military offensive. This intervention takes place one day before the rest of the formations vote on the validation or repeal of the Government's decrees.
In this regard, the president of Vox, Santiago Abascal, has assured that Sánchez "wants war because the noise of the explosions hides his corrupt practices, his crimes and his betrayals.” Likewise, he has criticized the latest government decree that recognizes the right to medical care for foreigners without legal residence. Regarding this aspect, he has said: "The bombs and missiles launched far from here prevent him from being held accountable for the bombs he launches here in the form of mass regularizations and universal healthcare. Universal healthcare for all, except for Spaniards, who are the ones who have built it with their effort and pay for it with their taxes".

The legality of the contracts of the company of its advisors
The latest controversy pointing to the far-right leader revolves around the legality of the contracts of Tizona Comunicación, a company linked to his main advisors, Gabriel Ariza and Kiko Méndez-Monasterio. According to what was revealed by 'El País', this consultancy invoiced almost 1.3 million euros to Vox in a single year after the party's entry into institutions with public funds, added to more than half a million in 2019 which prompted requirements from the Court of Accounts, and a monthly payment of 22,145 euros plus VAT since 2024 according to 'El Confidencial'. Vox has defended its full legality, alleging that they have been audited with no irregularities detected by the Court of Accounts.
Furthermore, Abascal has to face the manifesto promoted by Vox's detractors Iván Espinosa de los Monteros y Javier Ortega Smith, in which they demand the holding of an extraordinary congress of the party to carry out a debate on leadership, strategy, political orientation and internal organization.
Thus, Espinosa de los Monteros announced on his X account that the manifesto already has more than 2,000 signatures. “More than 2,000 people have already signed the manifesto to request a Political Congress in Vox and internally debate the political repositioning of the party.” The social media message was accompanied by the direct link to sign the manifesto.
These new accusations are added to those made by the former vice president of the Junta de Castilla y León for Vox, Juan García-Gallardo, who granted an interview to the newspaper 'El Mundo', where he revealed that “in Vox only Abascal's pension plan will remain”, that there is a "dirty war": if you disagree, they expel you" and, most strikingly, and for which the far-right magnate should be quite uneasy is that Gallardo accused him of collecting a third salary that he deposits into his wife's bank account. "I don't trust Abascal since I know he pockets a third salary, through a Vox provider, into his wife's current account, for alleged social media consulting services to a commercial company that is in losses and in cause of dissolution".
As if that weren't enough, after these statements to the media, Gallardo accused him of controlling social media to publish information against him. These new accusations he has made through his social network X, where he provided a message that reached his Whatsapp, where someone was informing him of this action. Gallardo included the screenshot of the message and qualified: "Pathetic, Santi. Pathetic."
