The President of the Government of Spain and PSOE candidate for the Presidency in the next general elections on November 29, Pedro Sánchez, will participate this Monday, October 19, in a political event at the Cúpula del Milenio in Valladolid, the same venue where he already spoke in March of this year during the closing of the campaign for the regional elections of Castilla y León.
According to the PSOE on the social network X, the meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. at the headquarters located in the Plaza del Milenio, a return that takes place just over half a year after his last participation in an event of these characteristics in the capital of Valladolid.
A precedent with a full house at the venue and support outside
The last time Pedro Sánchez spoke in that same space was on March 13, on the last day of the election campaign for the regional elections on March 15, 2026. Then, the socialist leader closed the rally accompanied, among others, by the general secretary of the PSOECyL and candidate for the Presidency of the Junta, Carlos Martínez, in addition to the socialist ministers Óscar Puente, Ana Redondo and Milagros Tolón, along with the former President of the Government, born in Valladolid, José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero.
Socialist sources indicated that the Cúpula del Milenio registered full capacity, with 2,000 people, while a similar number gathered outside, where the PSOE installed loudspeakers to allow attendees to follow the rally.
Electoral data and presence of ministers from Valladolid
Two days later, the PSOE obtained 91,600 votes in the province of Valladolid, which represented an increase of more than 5,000 supports and six tenths of a percentage compared to the 2022 elections, although the socialists were 12,000 votes behind the PP, which won the elections in Castilla y León.
At that event in March, the presence of Óscar Puente and Ana Redondo also stood out, both proposed by the PSOE of Valladolid as numbers one and two on the electoral list for the province to the Congress of Deputies.
The rally on this October 19 will be the second event in which Pedro Sánchez participates in Castilla y León since he called the general elections, after his presence last Saturday 11 in Ponferrada (León).
