We have learned, thanks to a very exhaustive journalistic investigation, that two female workers are reporting sexual assault, degrading treatment, and a host of truly nauseating behaviors by Julio Iglesias. The investigation speaks of a very consistent and highly plausible account of the facts: from exhaustively controlling what clothes they wear, such as making them wear absolutely obsolete and sexualized uniforms, telling them whether or not they can have a boyfriend, to asking for sexual favors as part of his treatment and his needs. Physical assaults, humiliations. Truly, an absolutely chilling account.

It is striking that, moreover, they are domestic workers: one a physiotherapist and the others domestic employees. It is a territory, that of domestic work, in which it is well known that sexual abuse and sexual violence are very frequent, and that most of the time, even in the Spanish context, where we know there is legislation that in theory adequately covers women's sexual rights and freedoms, not even 10% of sexual abuses in that context are reported. That is to say, within domestic employment, within homes, truly chilling things continue to happen.

What will not happen when there are such abysmal power differences as those between a billionaire with immense power and employees who struggle to report such situations? We know that there has also been a legal complaint, which will have its course, but it is certainly worrying. What are we doing as a society to ensure that vulnerable women, such as domestic workers, especially if they are migrants, especially if they are in a precarious situation, do not have to face individuals who behave in this way and abuse their position of power like this?

In any case, if there's one thing women can always count on, it's which side Ms. Isabel Díaz Ayuso will take. Whose side has she taken? That of two precarious workers who denounce absolutely nauseating, repugnant behavior that should have social outcry supporting and accompanying them, or that of the billionaire Playboy who for decades has fueled this absolutely misogynistic and absolutely sexist image, of degrading treatment towards women? Well, it's clear. Ayuso has sided with the billionaire Playboy. Of course! How could Isabel Díaz Ayuso not abandon all women again?
