Jesús Cintora and Cristina Pardo are among the main protagonists of the FesTVal 2026 Awards. The Vitoria-Gasteiz television festival announced this Friday the complete list of professionals, programs and series that will be recognized during the closing gala on September 12.
The award to Jesús Cintora recognizes the "notable audience success" achieved at the helm of 'Malas lenguas' and the personal stamp he has imprinted on the current affairs, interview and political debate format. The program closed the season with an 11.2% share on La 1, its best result in that slot since the 2010-2011 season, while on La 2 it reached 6.7%, the channel's highest figure in that time slot since 1998-1999. The award coincides with his imminent incorporation into 'Mañaneros 360'.
Cristina Pardo will be honored for her twenty-year career on laSexta, where she has directed and presented 'Liarla Pardo' and has hosted 'Más Vale Tarde' for the last five seasons alongside Iñaki López. The recognition comes before the journalist opens a new stage in Antena 3's prime time with her own current affairs, analysis and entertainment program.
RTVE will receive two other awards. The public broadcaster will be honored for its 70th anniversary and for seven decades as a television benchmark, while 'Valle Salvaje' will receive an award for becoming the first Spanish daily series conceived as a global product, thanks to the agreement between RTVE, StudioCanal, Bambú Producciones and Netflix.
Atresmedia also adds the award for 'Cara al show con Marc Giró', a format that combines interviews, culture, current affairs and the irreverent humor of its presenter. The FesTVal also recognizes the television adaptation of Carmen Mola's trilogy consisting of 'La Novia Gitana', 'La Red Púrpura' and 'La Nena', which has become one of Atresplayer's most solid criminal fiction bets.
Movistar Plus will be represented by 'Yakarta', Diego San José's series starring Javier Cámara, and by 'Se tiene que morir mucha gente', the adaptation of Victoria Martín's novel with Anna Castillo, Macarena García and Laura Weissmahr. Among Mediaset's formats are 'Horizonte', 'Casados a primera vista' and 'Lo sabe, no lo sabe'.
The relationship is completed with 'Gaupasa' and 'Bizi Natura', from EITB; the AISGE Foundation Award for Sofía Otero; the EITB Saria for Mikel Lejarza and the New Windows Award for Xuso Jones and Ana Brito. The FesTVal-FORTA will distinguish 'Ailoviu', the 8-F electoral coverage of Aragón TV and 'La Cuina de Morera'. César Benítez, Pepa Bueno, El Gran Wyoming and 'First Dates' will receive the Joan Ramón Mainat Awards during the gala on September 12 at the Europa Congress Palace in Vitoria-Gasteiz.
