The tension between United States and Iran has intensified again this morning after Iranian authorities reported a new American attack in the west of the country, one day after Washington declared the truce between both governments concluded.

According to official Iranian sources, at least three people died and several more were injured after a bombing recorded in the vicinity of the city of Ahvaz. This has been confirmed by Valiollah Hayati, the deputy director of security and law enforcement of the Khuzestan governorship. "Following the attack perpetrated this morning by the American Zionist regime at a point near Ahvaz, three people died and several were injured," said the Iranian official.

Meanwhile, United States President, Donald Trump, has assured aboard Air Force One, on the return trip to Washington after participating in the NATO summit, that Iran has resumed contact with his Administration to explore a possible path of understanding after the breakdown of the truce announced by Washington. "They called me a while ago," the US president said.

The ceasefire "is over"

"It's a very interesting question. For me, I think it's over. I don't want to have anything to do with them," United States President, Donald Trump, responded at a press conference at the NATO summit, this Wednesday, when asked if the ceasefire with Iran had ended, after the bombings launched by the Americans on Tehran.

Likewise, in the same intervention, he assured that he does not want to continue talks with Iran and has called the leaders of the ayatollah regime "scum and sick people."

Trump's statements come after the United States has sent "strong" attacks to Iran, they claim, due to the ayatollah regime's "aggressions" against ships in the Strait of Hormuz. In this regard, Tehran considers the bombings as "a clear violation of the Memorandum of Understanding," signed on June 17.

"United States Central Command forces have completed a new round of offensive attacks against Iran, in which they have hit more than 80 targets with precision ammunition," CENTCOM explained in a statement disseminated on social media, asserting that the offensive is in response to Iran's "aggressions" in the strategic enclave.

The Iranian news agency ‘Tasnim’ has announced that “several people were injured by shrapnel from enemy projectiles.” Likewise, the state agency IRNA has reported that explosions have occurred at strategic points in the Strait of Hormuz, such as Qeshm Island or the coastal city of Bandar Abbas.

Threats between Trump and Tehran once again bury hopes of a pact

Peace that is not consolidated. The war between the United States and Israel against Iran once again shatters the hope of reaching a pact between Donald Trump and the ayatollah regime. The American president threatened Iran this Monday that if they do not reach an agreement with Tehran, he will “finish the job” with more bombings and attacks on the country’s energy plants.

“We can take down their bridges in an hour. We can put out of service their energy supply, all those big plants they have built,” Trump wrote on his social network.

In this context, the Iranian Foreign Minister, Abas Araqchi, has warned that negotiations to bring about peace in the war will not resume until Trump ceases his threats. “Paragraph 13 of the Memorandum of Understanding is clear: negotiations on the final agreement will not begin as long as threats continue. Respect your signature,” the minister explained via his X account.

Likewise, he stated in his writing that neither the population nor the Armed Forces “will be intimidated by any threat.”
