The candidate of Frente Amplio for the presidency of the Government on 29N, Ada Colau, has urged the candidate of Podemos, Irene Montero, to choose between the series "Game of Thrones" or "Friends", after the lack of agreement between the purple formation and the other 15 formations that will run united in the general elections next November 29.

"I would simply ask her to choose between two options. Game of Thrones or Friends?", Colau posed during an interview on 'El perro andaluz', in which she was asked to leave a recorded question for the Podemos candidate.

The also candidate of Frente Amplio justified her choice by pointing out that they were talking about "ways of understanding power", words with which she linked her reflection on the attempt to close a unitary list on the left.

Defense of the agreement and reproaches to those who were left out

Colau has maintained that Frente Amplio "has not failed" in its attempt to reach a unity agreement, and has defended that the 15 formations that promote the coalition have made it clear that they want to go together to achieve "the maximum result" and continue transforming the country.

"I believe that the 15 formations that have promoted Frente Amplio have made it clear that we want to go together and achieve the maximum result to continue transforming this country," she insisted, then addressing those who have not joined the pact: "Some have wanted to go alone, let them answer."

A survey on capital sins and criticisms of several leaders

In a survey in which she was asked to attribute capital sins to different political leaders, Colau chose "gluttony" for Rufián, whom she reproached for having "put honey on their lips for more than a year talking and talking and promising the unity of the left and in the end he went to dinner alone."

In addition, she assigned "exhibitionism" to Pablo Iglesias, former leader of Podemos, for "how he has been explaining that he would not enter Frente Amplio", and "laziness" to the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, because, she said, "there is no way" for the PSOE to legislate "housing matters" despite having assured it for years.

Response to Pedro Sánchez on 'La Revuelta' and defense of housing

Colau also reacted to Pedro Sánchez's interview this Thursday on 'La Revuelta' on TVE, and assured that the socialist leader had asked for a vote for Frente Amplio without wanting to, by positively valuing four measures promoted by Sumar ministries: "SMI increases", "labor reform", "permanent contracts" and "housing decrees".

The candidate defended the housing mobilizations and urged left-wing voters to protest, while explaining that she was clear about returning to politics due to the request for "unity" conveyed to her by left-wing voters.

The proposals she rejected to return to the front line

In that context, Colau recounted that she received different proposals to return to the political front line, although she ended up discarding them, including that of being a minister in the current Government after the general elections of July 2023.
