The leader of Movimiento Sumar, Verónica Martínez Barbero, will be number 4 on the Frente Amplio list for Madrid to the Congress of Deputies, as confirmed this Wednesday by her own party.

The candidacy for Madrid will be headed by Emilio Delgado, from Más Madrid, while number 2 will be Tesh Sidi, also from that party, and the third position will be occupied by the coordinator of Izquierda Unida (IU) in Andalusia, Toni Valero.

The decision to place Verónica Martínez Barbero in position number 4 has been unanimously ratified by the Executive of Movimiento Sumar this very morning, as reported by the party in a statement.

Barbero, spokesperson for Sumar in the Lower House

Verónica Martínez Barbero, who during the legislature has been spokesperson for the Sumar group in Congress, faces this challenge "assuming the responsibility of representing all those people who want our country to continue being a benchmark of progress and do not resign themselves to the right governing in Spain."

On the other hand, the candidate of Frente Amplio for the Presidency of the Government is Ada Colau, close to the commons, who will be number one for Barcelona with the current Minister of Culture, Ernest Urtasun, as number two.

An expanded coalition for November 29

The new Sumar coalition, called Frente Amplio, was promoted by IU, Movimiento Sumar, Más Madrid and the commons, although in recent days more parties have joined to run jointly in certain territories in the general elections on November 29.

It is likely that Eduardo Fernández Rubiño, from Más Madrid, will be number 5 on the list for Madrid to Congress, although they warn that for the moment nothing is confirmed.
