Rubén Sánchez once again takes the accusations of ultra-agitator Vito Quiles to court. The general secretary of FACUA-Consumers in Action announced this week that a court in Seville has admitted a lawsuit for messages in which he attributed fraud, document forgery, and tax fraud to him. It is, according to his statement, the fifth legal action he has taken against him.
'ElConstitucional.es' has had access to the lawsuit document, which requests 60,000 euros in compensation for moral damages. The claim is processed through civil channels and asks for an illegitimate interference in Sánchez's right to honor to be declared, for the publications to be withdrawn, and for a potential conviction to be disseminated on the same accounts and website used to launch the accusations.
"It's the 5th legal case I'm bringing against him," Sánchez explained on X when announcing the admission. His announcement includes another message addressed to the ultra-agitator, whom he reproaches for evading court notifications. The admission allows the claim to be processed; the court still has to rule on the facts and the plaintiff's requests.

A 2013 accusation presented as new
The origin of this procedure lies in the publications of July 10 on X and on 'Combativos', Quiles' platform. From his personal account and from the portal's account, the ultra agitator accused Sánchez of presenting a false invoice and of using a non-existent company to defraud the Treasury. He also linked these alleged facts with FACUA and with work done for UGT.
The lawsuit describes how those messages were disseminated under the labels "URGENT" and "INVESTIGATION", while the news spoke of a "new controversy". However, the information on which they were based came from 2013, thirteen years earlier. Sánchez maintains that Quiles recovered accusations already examined by the courts and presented them as if they had just become known, without incorporating subsequent resolutions.
The document lists nine judicial resolutions between 2014 and 2017 to refute that version. Among them is the decision of the Provincial Court of Seville to reject that Sánchez be investigated in the UGT Andalucía case, after Manos Limpias requested it and the Andalusian PP supported the appeal. Europa Press reported then that the Chamber did not find evidence that would allow him to be summoned as an investigated party.
The cited documentation also includes sentences for violation of honor against Luis Pineda and Ausbanc, linked to the dissemination of those accusations. The lawsuit incorporates these precedents to argue that a verification of the available information would have allowed to know both the origin of the controversy and its judicial trajectory.
Sánchez sent a rectification request on July 11. In it, he explained that he had provided services to UGT as a self-employed professional, under the brand Concepto 19 Comunicación e Imagen, and that he had not invoiced them through FACUA or a fictitious company. He also detailed the resolutions with which he rejected the imputations disseminated by Quiles.
The response recorded in the document arrived the next day. "Let your father rectify, swindler," published the ultra agitator, before adding that Sánchez would end up in prison with his financiers. For the plaintiff, this reiteration after receiving the clarifications aggravates the damage and demonstrates that Quiles maintained the accusations despite knowing their denial and the judicial background.
The three X messages indicated in the lawsuit jointly exceeded 602,000 views at the time of preparing the document. This dissemination is one of the elements on which Sánchez bases the claim for moral damages, along with the persistence of the publications and the repercussions on his personal and professional reputation.
In addition to the 60,000 euros, the lawsuit requests the removal of the messages and that the reported intrusions not be repeated. It asks for the publication of the ruling of a possible conviction, without added comments, on Quiles' and 'Combativos' accounts, and to keep a news item with that content for seven days on the portal's homepage. It also claims the costs of the procedure.
Requests for prison and more open fronts
This claim is added to two criminal complaints, a previous lawsuit for violation of honor, and another for rectification promoted by Sánchez. 'ElConstitucional.es' already reported on July 15 about the action to demand that 'Combativos' publish the rectification and a second complaint filed the day before. The new honor lawsuit also seeks financial compensation for the publications.
The first criminal case, initiated by publications from 2022, is the one that contains the request for nine years in prison. Sánchez's private prosecution requests three years for each of the three continuous crimes of slander attributed to Quiles, with the aggravating circumstance of ideological hatred, and two fines of 12,000 euros for serious insults with publicity. It also claims 60,000 euros in compensation and disqualification from journalistic activities during the requested sentence. These are requests from the prosecution pending trial, and the compensation corresponds to a different procedure from the one now announced.
The ultra agitator has also lost the person who had publicly appeared as his defense lawyer. Juango Ospina left active practice to assume diplomatic responsibilities for Colombia in Brussels, as this media published last week. In Sánchez's criminal case, the lawyer had announced an appeal against the order that gave way to the abbreviated procedure, but, according to that information, he never appeared or filed the document.
Among the other procedures is that of a woman with intellectual disability whom Quiles interviewed during a protest in front of the PP headquarters and whose images were disseminated on EDATV and social networks. The Prosecutor's Office is asking for two years in prison for Quiles and eighteen months for Javier Negre. According to EFE's information on the indictment, it also requests a fine of 10,800 euros for Quiles, six years of disqualification from an educational profession or trade, and that both jointly compensate the affected party with 8,000 euros.
Quiles also faces an investigation for accusations against a public employee who is claiming 50,000 euros from him for moral damages, and another for the dissemination of the street and photographs of Beatriz Corredor's home. In the procedure promoted by Sarah Santaolalla, the Provincial Court of Madrid has imposed a precautionary measure that prevents him from approaching within 500 meters of her home and contacting her outside the professional sphere while pending statements are taken.
To these cases are added the investigation for alleged fraud against Renfe, which documented at least 17 trips with possible ticket irregularities, and the complaint from the Seville Prosecutor's Office for donations collected for minors affected by the DANA and scholarships for young people. The latter comes from a complaint by FACUA and seeks to clarify the destination of funds that were deposited into the same personal account used to finance the ultra agitator's activity.
Sánchez's reproach about the notifications has a precedent documented by this newspaper. In August, 'ElConstitucional.es' published a judicial document about an attempted delivery at EDATV's offices. The official recorded that the workers telephoned Quiles and that he "gives the indication not to collect anything from him."
This week, a different procedure has also advanced, directed against a follower of the ultra agitator for 46 threatening messages to Sánchez. As this medium reported on Thursday, a Seville judge has agreed to continue the case for an alleged continuous crime of threats and to proceed with the presentation of the accusation. The investigated party reproached the general secretary of FACUA for his legal actions against Quiles; it is the follower who is responsible for those messages.
