The leader of the PSOE, Rebeca Torró, has assured that she does not rule out taking "legal actions" after the information known about an alleged offer of financing for the defense of Koldo García and the supposed commitment to pay him one million euros in exchange for lying against the party and against the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez.
Torró has described what happened as a situation of "extreme seriousness" and has focused on the leadership of the Popular Party (PP), demanding immediate explanations from its president, Alberto Núñez Feijóo.
No descartamos emprender acciones legales. Lo conocido hasta ahora es de una gravedad extrema. https://t.co/QAlgFf9haT

The questions that the PSOE demands to clarify
In her message, the socialist leader has raised several unknowns about the alleged pact that, according to the disseminated account, would have involved a lawyer linked to the PP, Alberto Durán, and the publishing company of Okdiario. Among these doubts are the role that the party would have played in this operation, the origin of the 242,000 euros with which Koldo García's defense would have been paid, and the source of the additional million euros that, allegedly, would have been promised to him.
She also questioned whether Alberto Núñez Feijóo knew about this alleged agreement and why, according to the same information, the lawyer Alberto Durán was removed.

La Séptima kicked off this Thursday, November 5, with exclusive statements from José Luis Ábalos's former advisor, Koldo García, in which he confirms the information published by Cadena SER and states, through an audio message, that "the sewers of the PP have never left the institutions".
In the same context, Cadena SER published this Thursday Koldo García's version, in which he affirms that the offers related to the payment of his defense by a PP lawyer are true. In his statements, the former Transport advisor maintained that "the only thing I want to comment on is that the offers for the payment of my defense are true". The broadcaster also points out that three other consulted sources corroborate his account.
The statements Koldo García maintains from prison
Koldo García had already hinted at this version last May 6, in his final word before the Supreme Court, at the end of the mask case trial. He then stated: "The truth is that I have been offered to lie and in return I would not go to jail". In that intervention, he pointed to the PP lawyer and maintained that two media outlets had met with him to ask him to lie, although without identifying them.
Six months later, the information published this Thursday specifies, according to the account collected by Cadena SER, that Koldo García would have agreed with Alberto Durán that the publishing company of Okdiario would cover his defense and that, under certain conditions, it would pay him an additional million euros, in exchange for providing information to try to force the fall of Pedro Sánchez. In that version, the former advisor states that "Eduardo Inda was the payer for the PP".
For now, the political response focuses on demanding explanations from Alberto Núñez Feijóo and on the warning issued by Rebeca Torró, who insisted that, if these facts were confirmed, we would be facing an operation of special gravity and that the PSOE does not rule out going to court.
