The ultra agitator Vito Quiles appears shouting "Go for the reds!" while several legionnaires chant his name and cheer him on in a video circulated on social media. The images have led the Army to open an investigation into the conduct of the military personnel, according to 'laSexta'.
The investigation began on the morning of Tuesday, October 13, when the events became known. According to the channel's information, the circumstances in which the scene occurred, its motives, and the content of what happened will be examined.

Quiles disseminated images of the soldiers who cheered him on
The video was published by Quiles himself. The scene took place on a bus that was picking up members of the Legion Brigade in Madrid's Plaza de Colón after their participation in the desfile del October 12 parade, to return to their base in Viator, Almería.
The soldiers chanted the agitator's name and cheered him when he launched his slogan. Their actions will be examined to determine if they violated the obligation of political neutrality established by the disciplinary regime of the Armed Forces.
A possible serious offense for breaching political neutrality
The Organic Law on the Disciplinary Regime of the Armed Forces classifies as a serious offense “publicly making statements or expressing opinions that imply a violation of the duty of political or union neutrality.”
For serious offenses, the norm contemplates economic sanctions of eight to fifteen days, arrests of fifteen to thirty days, loss of assignment or discharge from the military training center, the latter applicable to those who are students. The specific sanction will depend on the proven facts and the circumstances of each responsible party.
In the case of arrest for a serious offense, the law establishes its fulfillment in a military disciplinary establishment, although it allows another military establishment when justified circumstances concur and discipline is not harmed.
