The PP maintains its demand that the Ministers of Defense, Foreign Affairs, Interior, and Justice appear this week in the Senate over the Ceuta crisis

The political pressure on the Government for the management of the migratory crisis in Ceuta continues to increase and has caused a new confrontation between the Congress and the Senate. In this regard, the Popular Party maintains its demand for ministers Margarita Robles, Félix Bolaños, Fernando Grande-Marlaska and José Manuel Albares to appear this week between August 12, 13 and 17. However, for now, the Executive does not have these interventions planned. 

Last Thursday, the PP demanded in Congress the urgent convocation of the Permanent Deputation to demand the appearance of the ministers and that of the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez. However, faced with the offensive of Alberto Núñez Feijóo's party, the next day, after a coordination meeting by videoconference held by the Executive to analyze the situation that Ceuta is going through after the massive entry of migrant people into the territory, they announced that the ministers mentioned by the 'popular' will carry out on their own initiative an appearance in the Congress of Deputies by the end of August. 

In this regard, they announced that the dates on which the interventions will take place are: Robles on the 25th, Bolaños on the 27th, Marlaska and Albares on the 28th. 

The PP distances itself from Vox and confirms its attendance at the Childhood Commission 

The Sectoral Commission for Childhood and Adolescence meets this Thursday as a preliminary step to the Sectoral Conference scheduled for the end of August, which will address the distribution among the autonomous communities of the 1,342 unaccompanied foreign minors who currently remain in Ceuta. In this regard, the Popular Party has announced that it will attend the meeting.

This was conveyed by the deputy secretary of Autonomous, Municipal and Electoral Analysis Policy of the PP, Elías Bendodo, who confirmed the attendance of the 'popular' despite not being "in agreement with the Government's policies" on immigration. 

However, the far-right party Vox has denied that they will attend the meeting. The vice-presidents of Extremadura, Aragon and Castilla y León who have powers in immigration matters, Óscar Fernández, Alejandro Nolasco and Carlos Pollán, have informed the Minister of Youth and Childhood, Sira Rego, that they will not attend the meeting and have thus formalized their rejection of the reception of these minors in their respective communities.

In the letters sent, Vox representatives consider the call to be "untimely" because, in their opinion, before addressing the territorial distribution, the "individualized files" corresponding to each minor must be finalized. "This autonomous community cannot accept the transfer of unaccompanied foreign minors from Ceuta," they state while demanding that "the prior processing and resolution of the legally required individualized procedures to determine their legal situation by means of a firm resolution" be accredited. 

Furthermore, they argue that these procedures should end with the "return to Morocco" of the minors. Along these same lines, the vice-presidents also announce that they will appeal before the courts any file that does not end with the "return" of the minor to the neighboring country.
