The PSOE has accused the Popular Party (PP) of resorting to "dirty war" to "overthrow a legitimate Government", after reports that include the statement of former ministerial advisor Koldo García, in which he assures that he agreed with the PP's lawyer to pay for his defenses and one million euros in exchange for information to "overthrow" Pedro Sánchez.
The Secretary of Organization of the PSOE, Rebeca Torró, has indicated that, if what was published is "confirmed", it would mean that "the PP would have tried to buy the testimony of an accused to overthrow a legitimate Government", and has demanded that the president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, offer explanations "immediately", warning that "not everything goes".
In a message disseminated on X and collected by Europa Press, Rebeca Torró summarized her political reproach as follows: "Pure dirty war of extreme gravity. Whoever can do it, do it, because the PP pays", in reference to the phrase once uttered by former president José María Aznar.

The PSOE's questions about the alleged agreement with Koldo García
In a statement, the PSOE has also asked Alberto Núñez Feijóo to explain what role the PP played in the alleged pact with Koldo García, and has raised a series of questions about the origin and conditions of that supposed agreement. "Where was the million euros going to come from? Did Feijóo know about this alleged agreement? Why did they remove his lawyer, Alberto Durán?" the socialists asked.
According to the statement made from prison by Koldo García, advanced this Thursday by Cadena SER, the former lawyer for the PP in corruption cases affecting the Government and the PSOE would have agreed with him to pay his defense costs and an additional million euros, through the publishing company of a media outlet, "in exchange for providing information to overthrow the President of the Government."
